How to Install Support Pads
- Clean and prep hoof.
- Place pad in desired position on the sole.
TIP: Wrap pad and hoof with vet wrap or Elastikon, careful not to wrap too tightly around the coronary band. Take wrap over the perioplic ring to just below the fetlock.

Used by veterinarians, equine hospitals and farriers to treat acute cases of laminitis and/or foot soreness.
Understanding Lamintis
Laminitis, commonly called founder, is a painful inflammation of the foot. It often occurs in a horse’s front feet but sometimes affects its hind feet as well.
In severe cases, permanent damage to the laminae results and the attachment of the coffin bone to the hoof wall breaks down. Therefore, the weight of the horse bears down on the coffin bone, and without the attachment to the hoof wall, the bone rotates down and can push through the sole to the ground.
What are the Symptoms of Laminitis?
If the two front feet are affected, the horse will stand in the "founder stance" with its hind legs well up under its body, carrying as much weight as possible, and place its front forward, with the weight on the heel. Reluctant to walk, it will turn by leaning back and pivoting around on its rear legs.
If all four feet are affected, the horse will lie down and may refuse to get up. If forced to stand, it will pull its hind feet and fore feet in toward each other under the center of its body.
Each attack of acute laminitis can leave a ring around the horse’s hoof.
Recommended Cleaning
Mix 1 part bleach with 2 parts water. Scrub and soak the pad for at least a half hour. Let dry.
